
Sheriff George Sheridan dedicates the new Delaware County
Sheriff's Law Enforcement Memorial Wall during a ceremony Friday August 4,
2006. The wall memorializes officer's who died while in service of the
citizens of Delaware County. Honored during the ceremony were:

Sheriff George Sheridan introduces Chaplain Rory Bond who gives the benediction for the memorial service. Officer's stand at attention while a member of the Delaware County Veteran's Honor Guard performs "Taps" during the ceremony. Retired and current members of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office stand with family members and friends of the honored officer's during the ceremony.
Sgt. Larry Johnson spends a moment with members of Officer Randy Thompson's family after the ceremony. Larry served as the Sheriff's "point man" in making the memorial wall and ceremony a reality. Larry spent many months working and fund raising to complete this project. Thank you Larry for a job well done! The Delaware County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Memorial Wall is proudly displayed in the lobby of the Justice Center - located just north of the Sheriff's Office.
