VISITING PROCEDURES
When an inmate is initially incarcerated in the jail, the inmate may fill out a visitor list. On that list, the inmate may designate those persons the inmate wishes to have visit while in the jail. The inmate may add to or delete names from the inmate's visitor list. However, the Sheriff, Chief Deputy, Jail Commander or their designated representative may delete names from an inmate's visitors list if, in that official's opinion, a threat to jail security exists or the visitor whose name has been deleted has previously violated jail rules governing visitation.
There will be space for the names of three adult (3) persons on the inmate's visitor list, and for the inmates children. At the time of initial incarceration, an inmate may choose to list three (3) names or may choose to list one or two names and add other name(s) later. In no event will an inmate be allowed more than three (3) names on the inmate's adult visitor list at any one time. Whenever an inmate has three (3) names on his adult visitor list, substitutions of names may be made but such substitutions will be only once every thirty (30) days. To change the inmate's visitor list, an inmate must submit a request for that purpose to the jail staff.
The same person may visit an inmate only once per day. Visits may be up to fifteen minutes in duration, depending on the inmate’s classification. An inmate shall be allowed to visit with only one (1) visitor at a time, except for visitation with an inmate's minor child (under 18 years of age), who must be accompanied by an adult who is listed on the adult visitor list. When a visitor registers for each visit, the visitor must present one (1) piece of picture identification or, in the alternative, two (2) pieces of other identification (children excluded from this requirement). Visitors, other than spouses and an inmate's children, must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Visitors are required to wear appropriate attire at all times while visiting at the jail. Visitors wearing short shorts or revealing or provocative clothing will be denied access to the jail for purposes of visiting an inmate. Visitors may not give anything to, or receive anything from, an inmate while visiting. Inmates in segregation for administrative or disciplinary sanctions may have restrictions placed on their visitation schedule. Inmates in Class I, Class II or Class III may also have some restrictions placed upon their visitation schedule or procedure. Smoking and eating are not allowed in the visitation rooms.
The Sheriff or the Jail Commander shall have the right to deny visiting privileges to anyone for cause. Violent, disruptive or abusive treatment or behavior by inmates to visitors or staff, or by visitors to inmates or staff, will not be tolerated. Such behavior may be cause for termination of the visitation session and may result in the loss or restriction of subsequent visitation privileges.

VISITATION SCHEDULE Monday through Saturday |
Visitation day and times will vary, depending upon the inmate’s classification. Inmates will be responsible for advising their visitors of which day they are permitted to visit.
The visitation schedule may be changed from time to time, in the Sheriff's discretion, to accommodate programming and operational considerations, as well as special circumstances that may arise. Inmates will be notified of changes in the visitation hours and schedule.
OFFICIAL VISITORS
Attorneys, bondsmen, probation/parole officers, clergy or others as approved by the Jail Commander may be admitted to meet with inmates at all such times as may be reasonable and necessary under the circumstances. Such meetings will not be permitted during meal times (10:30 a.m. – 12 noon or 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.) and will be accorded the greatest degree of privacy possible consistent with jail security.
