Delaware County Sheriff George Sheridan and local attorney Bruce Munson are pleased to announce that a $10,000.00 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for the burglary and subsequent death of Delaware County resident, Tim Rees. This reward is being offered by Sheriff Sheridan, Bruce Munson and concerned citizens and business leaders of Delaware County.

     On March 21, 2006 Mr. Rees was attacked during a burglary at his home at 2400 N. Benton Road and died a short time later at Ball Memorial Hospital. Mr. Rees shared his home with Joni Miller, who was home at the time of the attack. According to a statement given by Ms. Miller two intruders entered the home shortly after 9:00 pm. Ms. Miller’s statement describes the intruders as white males. One is described as being short and heavyset with reddish brown hair. The other is reported to be a tall and slender wore a bandanna over his face.

      Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division indicates that the Rees residence was specifically targeted and was not chosen at random.
